How to Microneedle

❗*Do not use any retinol products at least 1 weeks prior to microneedling*

❗❗NEVER REUSE needles/cartridges.  Reusing needles can cause infections.

BEFORE YOU START, PLAN AHEAD:

Choose the right length needle and gauge. This is essential. Needles that are too short won’t be effective, but a needle that’s too large could be extremely painful and damaging. Your device will likely come with some guidelines. However, understand that anything over a millimeter in length is not recommended. Consider erring on the side of shorter lengths and working your way up if you feel it’s necessary.

Supply check.  Have your needling cartridges ready.  You should have at least 2 cartridges per body area you will be microneedling.  This means 2 per face, 2 per neck, 2-3 per decolletage.

Replace cartridge needling tips after each use and area treated.  The derma pen has needle attachments, or “cartridges,” that can be purchased separately and in bulk. The manufacturer recommends never reusing the cartridges or needles. Never, ever reuse your cartridges- needles- replacement tips. There is a risk of infection. Remember that these needles will come into contact with your blood. If they have bacteria on them, you’re asking for problems

Wipe down your pen properly.  Disinfect your device between every use with skin friendly agents (i.e. not bleach). Allow the device to air dry before storing it.
